U.S. Independence Day celebration held in HCMC

The Consulate General of the United States in Ho Chi Minh City organized a ceremony celebrating the 242nd Independence Day (July 4) of the US in HCMC on June 14.

Speaking at the meeting, US Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink affirmed that the US has a vested interest in the Indo-Pacific region and is very keen on seeing the success of Vietnam as well as wants to see strong, prosperous and independent Vietnam.
US Consul General in HCM City Mary Tarnowka said that the U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Vietnam always accompany Ho Chi Minh City’s government and people wishing to boost bilateral relationships between the two sides.
Deputy chairman of the People’s Committee of HCMC, Le Thanh Liem sent his greetings to American people who are living and working in the city on their Independence Day.

The official visits of leaders of the two countries have contributed to the development of comprehensive partnership, emphasized the U.S. long-term commitment to further strengthen relationship with Vietnam, particularly HCMC, he added.
The US has ranked 10th among foreign investors in HCMC with 390 projetcs worth more than US$1.2 billion.
