VN, EU enhance investment cooperation

Chairman of the People's Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Thanh Phong hosted a reception on March 15 for Head of the delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam, Bruno Angelet.

Chairman Phong highly appreciated the EU’s support to the city in the construction of metro line No.2, Soai Rap River dredging, agricultural and climate change response projects over the past years.

He hoped that the EU will continue to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City in the coming time.

The two sides also discussed the progress of the metro line No.2 construction, the project of sustainable development of urban infrastructure in the city which funded by the EU via the French Development Agency (AFD) and the German Development Bank (KfW).

The two sides agreed to urge the relevant departments to speed up the implementation of project, creating advantages for the EU to increase partnership programs in the city in the forthcoming days.
