VN-Japan support industries connection agreed in HCMC

The Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro) and Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zone Authority (Hepza) signed a cooperation agreement to connect Vietnamese with Japanese businesses in supporting industries in HCMC on July 25.

The agreement aims to assist Japanese companies especially those of small and medium scales to boost investment and trade promotion, look for investment opportunities and customers, and transfer technology.
 
Another purpose of the agreement is development of supporting industries in export processing and industrial zones (EPZ and IZ) in HCMC.
 
Hepza will supply Jetro with information about EPZs and IZs in the city and businesses operating there together with the list of projects calling for investment.
 
Jetro will provide Hepza with names of Japanese companies intending to invest in or visit and look for information on EPZs and IZs, and operation and demand of Japanese businesses in the two countries.
 
The two sides will also work together on policies to improve investment environment in Vietnam basing on demand of Japan-invested enterprises.
