According to Vietnam News' source, a ferry with 300 people aboard capsized in the northwestern Sagaing region, Myanmar, on October 15.
The accident claimed at least four lives and dozens of people were missing.
The ferry capsized on the Chindwin river en route from Homelin to Monywa.
The survivors had been pulled out from the river.
According to initial information, the incident occurred after the ferry hit a rock.
A search and rescue operation is underway.
