Australian heroin transporter caught at Tan Son Nhat Airport

Customs officials at Tan Son Nhat International Airport seized nearly 3 kilograms of heroin carried by an Australian woman when she was checking in for a flight to Sydney on December 14.

The woman, 71 years old, disguised the amount of heroin as bars of soaps, worth about VND10 billion, and hid them in her luggage.

Within the past ten days, customs officials at Tan Son Nhat International Airport have discovered three cases of heroin trafficking with total amount of more than 6 kilograms of heroin.
