CAAV fines Vietnam Airlines & Vietjet Air worth VND30million

Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet air have been fined VND 15million each for having no announcements and information to passengers about departure time change.

The Cicil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) has just issued decisions to fine the administrative violation worth VND 30million to Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air (VND 15million each) for having no announcements to passengers and changing departure time. 

This is the first time CAAV has fined two airlines for tardy response about departure time’s change to passengers leading cases that passengers receive not enough flights’ information.

These decisions are applied to flight VN1370 of Vietnam Airlines from HCMC to Hue on March 10 and VJ321 of Vietjet Air from Phu Quoc to HCMC on March 9.

Accordingly, VN1370 announced to take off at 6:10 but till 14:25 it took off due to bad weather. VJ321 had technology problem and it moved departure time from 8:45 to 20:40.
