Chinese Children Trafficking Case Prosecuted

The Police Investigators of Tay Ninh Province decided to indict three people of a ring accused of trafficking Chinese children on May 29. 

The trio has been in temporary detention for seducing and trafficking children. They are Dong Van Hau, also called Lam, born in 1970, permanently residing in Luc Nam District, northern province of Bac Giang, temporarily living in Di An District, Binh Duong Province; Nguyen Van Nhat, 1973, Nam Sach District, northern province of Hai Duong, temporarily living in Bien Hoa City, southern province of Dong Nai; Nguyen Van Muoi, 1973, Yen Dung District, northern province of Bac Giang, temporarily living in Bien Hoa City, southern province of Dong Nai.

They were arrested at Tam Binh market (Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City) on May 23 while transporting three kidnapped Chinese children to Cambodia. At the investigation office, they confessed to organizing, transporting and trafficking Chinese children to Cambodia.

From a source, the trio is also implicated in another attempt to smuggle Chinese children to Cambodia via Viet Nam in May, which was also busted by Vietnamese Police. Four Chinese children were rescued in the case.
