Customs officers detect African rhinos trafficking into Vietnam

A passenger was caught at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday attempting to smuggle four horns of African rhinos hidden in milk cans. The wildlife parts were worth approximately VND4.5 billion (US$201,825).

Customs officers discovered a 42 year old man with Vietnamese nationality from Doha flight landing in Tan Son Nhat Airport who brought four Rhino horns weighing 1.8 kilogram in milk cans. This is banned items as per Vietnamese law

Further investigation will be conducted.
