Gun hidden in package via aviation

Police in Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Binh February 14 said they along with security guards in Tan Son Nhat International Airport discovered guns hidden in a package sent via aviation through Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

According to initial investigation, security guard force February 11 suspected a batch in the commodity packages of Saigon Cargo Service Corporation (SCSC) based in Tan Binh District, HCMC. The force opened the batch and discovered a gun with brand name Sharp Tiger.

As per the plan, the batch will be transported by Vietjet Air from HCMC to the central province of Nghe An.

Police verified the package was registered by a 34 year old man in Hanoi who are temporarily residing Tan Binh. He is an employee of Binh Tan District – based Transport Company BKH. In the custom declaration, the man wrote it was the air pipe used in industry.

The man told police that the package was sent to BHK Transport Company on February 11, 2015 by Kerry Transport Company at A75 Bach Dang Street in Tan Binh District.
