HCMC police detect male brothel disguised as massage parlor

Police in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 10 discovered a massage parlor serving as a front for male prostitution while patrolling it.

District police and police to combat social evils May 18 raided a male prostitution which was distinguished as a Traditional Medicine Company at in alley 16 on Tran Thien Chanh Street in District 10.

At 3PM, police officer discovered two masseurs were offering ‘erotic services’ to male customers when raiding the establishment. 20 other men, still naked after spending time in a sauna, were awaiting their turns.

According to the initial investigation, the parlor attendants confessed that the prices of services range from VND100,000 (US$4.5) to VND400,000 ($18) with different ‘massage’ services. In the isolated rooms, the masseurs also sell sex if the customers are willing to pay. The parlor has one manager and six attendants.

The massage parlor owned by 26-year-old Dinh Quoc Tuan had been fined many times for violation yet it still operated.
