Leaders held accountable for prostitution in jurisdiction: People’s Committee
The municipal People’s Committee has built an anti-prostitution plan in 2019 asking district administrations to enhance building cultural life and families connecting the mission to crackdown prostitution in each residential quarter.
The plan clearly says that government and party leaders and chief of police station in districts where prostitution occurs for a long time without measures against the issue must take responsibility. Local administrators must take measures to eliminate “hot spots” of social evils and prostitution.
In addition, district administrations and police must enhance monitoring to impose penalties on businesses for providing sex workers and drugs. Police must increase investigation and implement measures to eliminate criminal rings involving prostitution.
