Man pays for silly joke at airport

A passenger who joked about carrying explosives in his bag was detained at Buon Ma Thuot airport on October 31, prevented from flying that day, and hauled up before the Southern Airports Authority.

Nguyen The Quang, 33, who was set to fly to Ho Chi Minh City, told a security guard to check his belongings carefully since he may carry explosives into the aircraft.

Though no explosives were found, Quang was ordered to stay back and take a flight the next day.
