Ministry opens column of int’l criminal prevention in its website

Vietnamese Public Security Ministry said that it has opened a column of international criminal prevention in its website to increase popularization of cooperation between Vietnam and other nations in anti-crime activities.

The column will popularize information of international crime and cooperative activities of Interpol organization generally and Vietnam’s police force particularly.
The content of the column “Summary of Interpol news” will publish Interpol activities including seminars, training program and campaign launched by Interpol. Moreover, it will has news of Interpol’s highlights, warnings of fresh criminal tactics, and notices of wanted persons with the aim to help local police officers to have grasp of new tricks in the fight against criminals.
Officially created on September 7, 1923 as the International Criminal Police Commission, the Interpol organization became known as INTERPOL in 1956.
The organization has a global membership of 194 countries. Each country maintains a National Central Bureau (NCB), staffed by national law enforcement officers. It forms the link with INTERPOL's global network, enabling member countries to work together on cross-border investigations.
