Nigerian Busted with Fake Mastercard

Yesterday, Mr. Olagbegi Olaniyi Olwwsegun , a Nigerian, came to a cell phone stand in Maximark Supermarket at 15-17 Cong Hoa Street of Tan Binh District, and tried to use his Vietcombank-Master Card to buy two Nokia N95 cell phones worth VND23 million.

The salesclerk, Mr. Do Van Hao, called Vietcombank to check the authenticity of the card. The bank told Mr. Hao that the card was a fake and asked him to try to hold the cheater while he called the police.

Mr. Hao then requested the cheating customer to produce his passport, but Mr. Olwwsegun refused to do so and asked Mr. Hoa to give the card back to him.

Immediately after that, the police burst in. They made up a report about the case and they plan to investigate further.
