PM requires strictest punishment on culprits raping, killing young girl

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on February 20 required the Ministry of Public Security, the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam and the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam to apply the strictest punishment according to the law on five culprits who raped and killed a 20 years old girl in the northern province of Dien Bien.
Specifically, they should steer proceeding agencies in the province to quickly investigate, prosecute and take the five offenders to court for the crime they caused to Cao Thi My Duyen, a student of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry during Tet holidays.
Authorized authorities have prosecuted the five culprits for murdering, property robbing, raping, storing illegal heroin and kidnapping.
After alternately raping the girl, they took the victim to a graveyard in a truck and tightened her with an iron rope.
