Police in HCMC hunt camera-smuggling ring leader

Investigators are looking for Nguyen Manh Cuong, 34, in Ho Chi Minh City suspected for leading a syndicate of criminals in smuggling cameras.

Cuong is currently on the run from police.

Pham Chien Bao and Nguyen Van Quyet were caught transporting four containers from Tan Son Nhat International Airport to their house on Le Duc Tho Street in Go Vap District on Aug. 16, 2013. Police found 79 cameras, lens, batteries, flash lights inside the house. These cameras were illegally imported from Hong Kong (China).

After the event, the PC46 Economic Crime Division verified Bao and Quyet as employees of Cuong.
