Police seize over 230,000 expired medication vitals to be consumed in HCMC

Police in the southern province of Tay Ninh have seized over 230,000 expired medicine bottles which had been labelled new to be consumed in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the initial investigation, police officers in Ben Cau District of Tay Ninh Province discovered a suspected vehicle travelling in the district.
Police officers were quick to stop the vehicle razing it; they detected 2,200 drugs without receipt.
Driver Phan Tan Tao in District 10 of Ho Chi Minh City admitted to transporting the drugs for Nguyen Anh Chau in Ben Cau District. From his statement, police officers continued broadening the case by searching Chau’s house.
They consequently found additional 230,000 bottles of different kinds of medications past the expiration dates
Chau confessed that he bought the expired drugs in social network at the cost of VND500 million (US$21,354) and then he replaced old labels with new ones with the plan to sell in HCMC.
