Eighth Help-Portrait festival launched

The eighth Help-Portrait festival in Vietnam themed “Nhat ky nu cuoi “ ( Smile diary) will be launched in 15 cities and provinces at same time on December 9.

As scheduled, the festival will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, the central provinces of Thua Thien – Hue, Binh Thuan, Binh Dinh, central city of Da Nang, the central coastal district Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa, the southern province of Dong Nai’s Bien Hoa Town, central highlands province of Lam Dong’s Da Lat Town, province, the Mekong delta city of Can Tho, Hau Giang, Vinh Long, An Giang, Kien Giang, and Vung Tau.
Photographers, photograph lovers, hairstylists and makeup artists will take photos of people in hospitals, charity houses to raise orphan and disabled people, residential blocks of laborers and offices of veterans.

Especially, the festival will also take place in Tho Chu island and some disadvantaged districts such as Tinh Bien in the Mekong delta province of An Giang, Dinh Quan in Dong Nai province.
Volunteers will keep and send back photos to cancer children, lonely senior people and disadvantaged people. Poor people in Ho Chi Minh City can go to the festival’s center at 5 Dinh Tien Hoang Street in district 1 to have free photos.
Help-Portrait is a global movement of photographers, hairstylists and makeup artists using their time, tools and expertise to give back to those in need. It is jointly organized by Vietnamese Help-Portrait community, Youth Association in HCMC, Thuy’s Dream, Blue Dream Club and sponsored by Canon Company.
