120 kids partake in Mid-Autumn festival

120 kids from the northern provinces of Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang. Bac Kan, Phu Tho, Lang Son, and Quang Ninh will partake in Dem Hoi Trang Ram (Mid-Autumn Festival) themed Thap sang Uoc Mo Thieu Nhi Vietnam ( Lighting Vietnamese Children’ wishes) on September 26 in Hanoi.

The Youth Communist Union in Ho Chi Minh City, its central counterparts and Vietnam Television, and Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) held a press conference to launch the 8th program on September 23 in Hanoi, aiming to offer children a happy and loving Mid-Autumn festival.

Under the program, children will have opportunity to tour Hanoi’s cultural and historical sites and receive gifts, scholarships.

Vietcombank will give 120 scholarships during the event. Of these, 100 scholarships worth VND1 million (US$44.5) each will be offered disadvantaged children and 20 scholarships worth VND 3million each will present to children from meager-income families but have good academic record. 

Additionally, the bank will give scholarships worth VND20 million (US$890) to students in An Giang and VND 20million to disabled students of an education sponsoring center in Dak Lak province.

The program will be aired live in VTV1 of Vietnam Television at 8PM on September 26.
