The Vietnamese delegation will also present to international friends Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements after over 40 years of reunification and over 30 years of its Doi Moi (Renewal) policy, and organize an exhibition promoting the land, history and people of the country at its display stall in the festival.
They will join bilateral exchanges and meetings including the high-level meetings with leaders of the Unions of Communist Youth of Laos, Cuba, Cambodia, China and Russia, and participate in art performance and sport games for Asia Pacific Day.
Launched in 1947, the World Festival of Youth and Students is held annually by the World Federation of Democratic Youth, uniting the people in the struggle against imperialism, for world peace, solidarity and social transformation.
This year’s event is expected to bring together 12,000 youths from more than 150 countries and territories worldwide.
