1.6 million jobs created in 2018

According to the report issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalid and Social Afairs, 1.6 million jobs were created in 2018, unemployment rate in working age in rural districts dropped to 3.1 percent hitting lowest rate in 11 years while the trained laborer rate was 58.6 percent.

The rate of poverty-stricken households countrywide declined to 5.35 percent, down by 1.35 percent compared to 2017.
Additionally, of 1.6 million employment created by the Ministry, 1.5 million Vietnamese people were employed.
In addition to above-mentioned achievements, the Ministry admitted remaining including poor connection between supply and demand, shortage of labor market information, and reports of many cases of child abuse.
