The central province of Nghe An carried out a plan to experiment with 19 fields which bring the profit of VND50 million a hectare per year, said an official of the province’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

From 2004 to 2006, 19 fields have been set up. There are two in districts Quynh Luu and Yen Thanh, eleven in districts Dien Chau, Cua Lo, Hung Nguyen Thanh Chuong, Nghi Loc and Nam Dan, six in districts Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, which fetch VND68, 29-56 and 22-44 million a hectare a year respectively.
All the 19 fields are set up on favorite soil and weather conditions, farming habits, techniques and the government’s guarantee on purchasing products.
The state agencies have learnt experience from the 19 model fields in order to expand it over the province.
