2014 Tet gifts brought to soldiers, residents in Truong Sa Archipelago

Soldiers of the fourth section Navy December 26 brought items for preparation of Tet festive season to Nam Yet Island, the biggest in the Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago.

On behalf of the delegation, Colonel Bui Hai Phuoc presented Tet gifts from mainland to soldiers in the island. 

"These gifts showed the love of people to soldiers that helped us to well perform our duty in protecting the country’s island sovereignty" said lieutenant colonel Ngo Van Lua, commander of the Nam Yet Island.

Before, the delegation of the fourth section Navy also presented Tet gifts to soldiers and residents in Sinh Ton Island. Major Trinh Cong Ly, commander of Sinh Ton Island, thanked people for presents for Tet festive, stressing that these gifts greatly encouraged soldiers in protection duty.

On the same day, Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and the Offices of the Delegation of Members of the National Assembly arrived in Tan Thuan Tan Export Processing Zone in District 7 to check Tet festive season preparation for laborers.

The delegation also checked the preparation in stocking commodities for Tet Lunar New Year in Binh Dien Market in District 8. Ho Phuoc Hai, the market’s director, said that the market will try to list fixed price on all commodities.
