75 enterprises given Vietnam Quality, Asia-Pacific International Quality Awards

The Directorate for Standards and Quality (STAMEQ) yesterday announced at a press brief that 75 enterprises would be given with Vietnam Quality Award and Asia-Pacific International Quality Award.
Of 75 enterprises, 22 of them will receive the Gold Award. Binh Minh Plastic Company and ViettinBank win the Asia-Pacific International Quality Award.
Such annual awards are given to excellent enterprises in formulating and applying the national quality managing system.
The awards aim to recognize and celebrate organizations, teams and individuals as role models to demonstrate a commendable performance of business excellence contributing to business success.
Also, they help to increase Vietnamese-made products, commodities and service in the global competition.
After 23 years, of nearly 2,000 enterprises have been granted with the awards; 240 captured the Gold Award and 46 won Asia-Pacific International Quality Award.
In the phase 2016 - 2018, turnover of winning enterprises’ was estimated to be more than VND500 trillion ($21.5 billion) with profit of over VND36 trillion and paid approximately VND32 trillion into the government's budget as well as created around 170,000 employment.
