Viet Nam has around 1.4 million disabled children and 1.8 disadvantaged children who live primarily in remote areas, including the northern mountains (21.95 percent), the north central region (20.59 percent), the Mekong Delta (20.47 percent) and the East-Southern region (1.21 percent).
