All Vietnamese workers will leave the conflict areas in Libya for Vietnam next week at the earliest, said the Department of Oversea Labor on August 8.
The announcement was made at a meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thanh Hoa, aiming to review a plan to evacuate workers of 11 Vietnamese enterprises from Libya.
Mr. Hoa instructed the businesses to urgently take their workers home by all means.
Yesterday, 240 workers returned home from the conflict and 25 others were on way to Vietnam. The remainder is scheduled to be sent back home later.
A ministry’s delegation is expected to depart for Tunisia and Libya today to help bring the workers home.
