AO Victims Get Care From Society

The Viet Nam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) has doled out nearly 1 billion VND (roughly 60,000 USD) to support AO victims.

To mark the Day for Agent Orange Victims (August 10), VAVA also presented gifts to AO victims in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Ha Nam and Nam Dinh provinces.

The association will join a number of businesses to hold art performances in the capital city on August 9 evening to raise funds for the victims.

On this occasion, the AO victims in the provinces of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Ben Tre, Ha Giang, Ca Mau, Vinh Long, Ha Tinh and Khanh Hoa were given gifts, scholarships, wheelchairs, medical checks-up and medicines by local funds and businesses.

The Hanoimoi daily in conjunction with the Vincom Joint Stock Company gave gifts worth 500,000 VND each to 52 families of AO victims in Ha Noi.
