Australian lower house speaker begins Vietnam visit

Speaker of the House of Representatives of Australia Bronwyn Bishop arrived in Hanoi on September 12, starting her three-day official visit to Vietnam .

The visit aims to realise a high-level agreement between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Parliament of Australia.

Bishop was elected as the 29th Speaker of the House of Representatives at the first session of the 44 th Parliament of Australia in 2013.
