Baby sharks inspected near shore in Khanh Hoa coastal areas

The Nha Trang Institute of Oceanography will tour Khanh Hoa Province to inspect capture of baby sharks.

People in coastal areas in Van Ninh District often catch baby sharks to eat, said Vo Van Quang.

The Institute has verified the sharks to be Grey Shark Carcharhinus through photos sent by fishermen.

The shark has broad, round snout, large eyes, plain or white-tipped dorsal fins, dark tips on other fins, broad, black rear margin on the tail fin, and no ridge between dorsal fins. They thrive on the coastal reefs in shallow waters.
