A Vietnamese fishing boat has rescued ten foreigners found drifting on the East Sea by clinging on to a float, 300 nautical miles from the central province of Khanh Hoa.
The boat’s captain, 41-year-old Bui Quang Mong from the central province of Quang Ngai informed the Khanh Hoa army patrol at 10:30 am yesterday that ten foreigners, probably Malaysian, had been rescued by their fishing boat from the waters of the East Sea.
The ten foreigners were found clinging on to a float and drifting loose on sea. They were all brought on board and are being taken care of.
Colonel Nguyen Duc Phuc from army headquarters in Khanh Hoa Province said that it would take three-four days for the boat to arrive at Nha Trang Port with the rescued foreigners.
