Ca Mau 1 Power Plant to be Commissioned March 24

A power plant will be put into operation at Viet Nam's southern tip. Ca Mau province

Ca Mau province’s power plant No. 1 will officially begin operation on March 24, said the project management board’s Deputy Director, Pham Thanh Tri.

Using both gas and steam turbines, the US$430 million plant has a capacity of 750 MW.

In order to complete the project on schedule, the plant owner, Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (Petrovietnam), along with the project management board, called for employees and engineers to work around the clock at the construction site.
