Can Tho, An Giang and Kien Giang promote tourism cooperation

A high level tourism meeting took place in Kien Giang Province’s Rach Gia city on October 18, aiming to discuss tourism cooperation between three provinces in Mekong Delta region, including Can Tho, Kien Giang and An Giang.


 
The meeting was chaired by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT). According to VNAT, Can Tho, Kien Giang and An Giang is affirmed as the leading provinces in tourism development as per the strategy on Vietnam’s tourism development untill 2020, vision to 2030 approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

At meeting, three provinces and cities signed cooperation agreements, aiming to develop tourism industry, focusing on four plans including cooperating to build management policies and developing local tourism; offering diversified and attractive tourist products; promoting and publicizing tourism as well as training human resource for tourism industry.

The plan for tourism cooperation and promotion is the third project to receive technical support from the EU project.
