Can Tho City opens Spring flower street

The Mekong delta City of Can Tho authority opened a flower street on February 15 ( or 27 December on Lunar Calendar).

The 450 meter road on  two parallel streets Vo Van Tan and Nguyen Thai Hoc to Hai Ba Trung in Ninh Kieu Wharf  are decorated and installed with artworks made of many vairous flowers. The flower streets include four sections each having its own themes.

The highlight is the section themed “ Sac Xuan Phuong Nam” ( Southern Spring) which displayed various fruits in the southern provinces; flocks of cranes and specific festival, Khmer pagoda and picture of islands to feature the love for the country.

In addition, architect impression of Can Tho Bridge, Truc Lam Thien Vien Pagoda in the South, the valedictorian Bui Huu Nghia’s commemoration along with other cultural activities attracted many local and international visitors.

The flower street will last to February 24.
