The National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting this morning (June 19) said heat waves will occur in the northern and central region.

With the hot high pressure system in the west is strengthening therefore starting June 19 to 23, a large scale hot spell will spread out the northern and central region.

The highest temperature will be from 35 to 38 degrees Celsius. Several part of the region can reach up to 38 degree Celsius.

In the central region, the highest temperature may reach 39 degrees Celsius at 11 am to 16pm.

However, it is predicted that thunderstorms and scattered rains may also occur in the late afternoon or at night.

The west south monsoon continues hitting in the southern region. Due to its influence, the region experiences bad weather with rains and strong winds at this time.
