The meeting was organized by the HCM Communist Youth Union to commemorate the anniversary and to celebrate the union’s title “Labor Hero,” awarded for the period from 1997 to 2006.

This period was marked by many outstanding achievements as the union worked relentlessly to create many new economic models and to provide jobs to thousands of rural laborers. Members of the union also joined volunteer movements serving the public, building rural roads, giving legal advice, and providing medical treatment.

The union should do its utmost to become a community which works not only to fulfill its responsibilities, but also for the sake of love, solidarity and cooperation, Mr. Hai told the audience.
