City celebrates National Day of Thailand

The Consulate of Thailand celebrated the 86th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and Thai National Day in a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on evening of December 3.

Speaking at the ceremony, Panpimon Suwannapongse, Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, said she appreciated the relationship between the two countries and hoped for a better strategic partnership in future.

The ceremony was also attended by Nguyen Thi Hong, Vice Chairwoman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
 
Since August 2013, Vietnam has attracted 315 investment projects from Thailand with total capital of US$6.3 billion. The City also attracted 72,000 visitors from Thailand in 2012.
