City delegation ends visit to Spratly Islands

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Vo Thi Dung returned to Ho Chi Minh City with the city delegation on April 16 after their visit to Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands and DK1 frame house.

During the nine-day trip, the delegation visited officers, soldiers, and residents on Song Tu Tay, Da Nam, Son Ca, Nam Yet, Sinh Ton, Len Dao, Spratly and DK1 frame house.

City delegation offered incense at Martyrs Memorial in Spratly Island to commemorate martyrs.

The delegation also celebrated the 60th anniversary of Hung Kings and burned incense at President Ho Chi Minh’s commemorative house.
 
The delegation also donated VND 8 billion to build a primary school on Song Tu Tay Island. They also donated two boats worth VND 7.6 billion, a car, and VND 1 billion for residents on the island.
