City fines strictly overloaded vehicles

The overloaded vehicles at Cat Lai port in the district 2, HCMC and Tan Thuan Dong port in the district 7 have re-occurred in recent months.

The overloaded vehicles at Cat Lai port in the district 2, HCMC and Tan Thuan Dong port in the district 7 have re-occurred in recent months.

Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport Le Hoang Minh on August 6 said to correct this issue; the department and related agencies have regularly carried out the inspection and treatment to overloaded vehicles, during the night.

On August 2, transport inspectors and police checked container 70C-022.12 of Tan Hoa Company as its loading capacity exceeded 21 percent of the regulation. The transport inspectors fined driver and container’s owner.

From the beginning of the year to date, transport inspectors have fined 350 overloaded vehicles worth nearly VND 3billion.
