City honors outstanding journalists with Press Award

The Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association and HCMC Television held an awards ceremony on occasion of the 88th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and honored excellent journalists with the 31st HCMC Press Award.

The awards ceremony has attended by Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee and Than Thi Thu, Head of the City Education and Propaganda Committee.

According to HCMC Journalists Association, this year the HCMC Press Award includes 183 journalistic works of 20 journalist agencies. The organizers chose 46 works to award from reporters and press groups.

Saigon Giai Phong won five prizes, of which two-second prizes went to Hoai Nam, Hong Hiep; two-third prizes went to press groups of Pham Phuong Thao, Tuan Son, Vinh Xuan, Trinh Dinh Dung, Van Anh, Ai Chan, Nguyen Khoa; and consolation prize went to Ai Chan, Thanh Tam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha appreciated the efforts of journalists and their excellent work.
