City leader meets new US Ambassador

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan had a meeting with newly-accredited Ambassadors from the US - Theodore G. Osius yesterday.

At the meeting, the chairman Le Hoang Quan appreciated the cooperative relations between the United States and Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular in the educational sector, and hoped that HCMC will continue to promote the cooperation with the United States in the fields of economy, trade and health in the upcoming years.

New US Ambassador Theodore G. Osius thanked the city leader’s friendly welcome, and said that the United States want to cooperate with Vietnam not only  in the fields of health, education, science and technology but also marine and traffic infrastructure.

In next working term, Mr. Theodore G. Osius will continue to improve and strengthen further two countries’ relations and help the US become Vietnam’s largest trade partner, added he.
