City leader receives Chilean ambassador

Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong had a reception with Jaime Chomali, Chilean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Vietnam on November 13.
The city leader congratulated the Chilean ambassador being appointed on the working term in Vietnam. 
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong affirmed that Vietnam- Chile relationship has strongly developed since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1971 and have become the comprehensive partners since 2007.
Chairman Phong said that Ho Chi Minh City always pays attention to promoting further cooperation relationship with the partner as well as the country’s localities, especially in the fields of investment and trade.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong also shared with Chilean Ambassador about the city’s development goals to become a center for economy, finance, science and technology in the region as well as to develop a smart city.

Chilean Ambassador to Vietnam, Jaime Chomali expressed his impression for the city’s possitive development, and desired to boost stronger the relationship between Chile and Vietnam in general and between Chile and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
