City leader receives Fulbright Program Director in Vietnam

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong yesterday morning received Prof. Thomas Vallely from Harvard University of the United States, Director of Fulbright Program in Vietnam
 
At the reception, the professor reported the processing time for establishing Fulbright University Vietnam (FUV). At present, FUV completes its technical design at Saigon Hi-tech Park in district 9.

Besides that, prof. Thomas Vallely showed teaching methodologies of FUV to contribute in fostering innovative teaching.
 
FUV is expected to receive 200 students in the first months of 2018, and around 1,500 students by 2020, desired Thomas Vallely.
 
Harvard University opens the Vietnam Executive Leadership Program (VELP) for Ho Chi Minh City leaders.

Chairperson Phong appreciated VELP with its target of raising international standard and competition growth to help Ho Chi Minh City become a financial, economic and commercial center of the Southeast Asian region.
