City leader welcomes Minister of External Affairs of India

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong yesterday received General- Minister of State of India’s External Affairs Vijay Kumar Singh.

At the reception, the city leader introduced activities of economic, cultural and exchange and cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and India during previous times.

Currently, the city attracts 55 investment projects from the partner with total capital of US$ 55.7 million. Thus, Chairman Phong hoped that Ho Chi Minh City would continue attracting more and more investment & cooperation projects from Indian investors.

The Indian minister highly appreciated good cooperative developments between India and Vietnam; and strongly affirmed that his country has always encouraged and called on Indian investors into Ho Chi Minh City as well as into various localities of Vietnam.

He also desired that the two nations will continue launching many activities of cultural exchange and economic cooperation in the upcoming time.
