City leaders offer incense to commemorate late General Secretary Le Duan

Deputy Standing Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang yesterday led a delegation of HCMC Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee offered incenses to commemorate late General Secretary Le Duan on the occasion of the 110 th his birthday (April 7, 1907- 2017).

The delegation included former Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Le Thanh Hai, former Deputy Standing Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Van Dua, Deputy Standing Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Vo Thi Dung and leaders of departments, agencies and people’s committees of districts.

The city leaders offered incense to commemorate and express their gratitude to great contributions of the General Secretary for revolutionary career of Party and people in the struggle for national independence.

The city leaders reviewed life and revolutionary career of the late General Secretary, an outstanding leader of the Party and an excellent pupil of late President Ho Chi Minh.

To mark the 110th birthday of late General Secretary Le Duan, a traditional boat racing was held on Thach Han River in Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri on the same day.

Thousands of local people flocked to General Secretary Le Duan’s memorial house in Trieu Thanh district to take part in the event.

The boat racing attracted 28 teams from 20 wards and towns of Trieu Phong district.
