City leaders visit policy-priority families

A city delegation and leaders yesterday visited and presented gifts to the families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war martyrs, wounded soldiers marking the 68th anniversary of Vietnam's War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27.

A delegation led by Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee and Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Ngan in district 11, Ho Chi Minh City whose one daughter and son sacrificed their lives in defending the nation.

Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam expressed deeply her gratitude for the mother’s great losses and contributions for the country.

On the same days, Deputy Secretary of HCMC Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong led city delegation to visit war invalids families and offered 62 gifts worth VND 50 millions to Long Dat Nursing Center for Wounded Soldiers and National Devotees.

Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Hua Ngoc Thuan, Deputy Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department Nguyen Chi Thanh and city delegation visited and offered gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers Nguyen Thi Que, Nguyen Thi Ly and Pham Thi Diem.

Vice President of the HCMC Veterans Association Tran Dinh Hang gave  two gratitute houses worth VND 133 million to STieng ethnic group's veterans  in Bu Gia Map district’s Phu Nghia commune in Binh Phuoc province.

In the related news, Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang Province granted the title of “Vietnamese Heroic Mother” for 200 mothers.
