City leaders visit press agencies

On the occasion of the 91st anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism Day (June 21st, 1925- 2016), the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee yesterday visited and congratulated press agencies in HCMC.

Mr. Tat Thanh Cang, Deputy Standing Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee led the delegation to visit and congratulate the editorial board, staffs, journalists and editors of website of the HCMC Party Committee.

At the visit, Mr. Tat Thanh Cang directed the editorial board of the website actively to collaborate with the relevant agencies in updating and building its information networking to be a modern interface by September, 2016. 

He also suggested the editorial board should often organize many political, basic knowledge training courses for the editors and reporters, and improve the quality of information in line to readers.

The city’s leader delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of HCMC People’s Committee visited and congratulated the editorial board, journalists and staffs at the Newspaper of 7th Military Zone, Vietnam Television Center in HCMC, Catholic and Ethnic Groups Newspaper.

On behalf of the city's leaders, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong sent best wishes to journalists on the Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism Day. He appreciated great contributions and achievements of press agencies in popularizing guidelines, political task and policies of Party, States and HCMC authorities to crowded people in the previous times.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong desired press agencies will continue getting more and more achievements, in the upcoming years.

On the same day, another delegation from the Vietnam People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province yesterday led by Mr. Le Minh Khai, Secretary of Party Committee of Bac Lieu visited and congratulated Saigon Giai Phong (SGGP) Newspaper.

At the reception, Editor in Chief of SGGP Newspaper Nguyen Tan Phong thanked the information support and cooperation of the province of Mekong Delta in the previous years, adding that two sides will continue strengthening information cooperation and exchange relations.
