‘Green Summer’ and ‘Pink Holiday’ Campaigns are meaningful activities with participation of Vietnamese youth volunteers. These two campaigns are held annually across many provinces. This year more than 71 volunteers are taking part in Attapeu and Champasak Provinces in Laos.

In Attapeu and Champasak, Vietnamese volunteers trained Lao farmers on how to grow rice and also provided free medical consultation for 2,500 people.

The volunteers offered Laos-Vietnam Youth Friendship House for two disadvantaged families and offered one thousand notebooks for 140 disadvantaged students in Champasak Province. The volunteers also reconstructed Setnam Om Primary School.

During the visit, Nguyen Van Ranh honored the Vietnamese volunteers who have successfully completed their task, contributed to promoting friendship as well as cooperation in economics, culture and social life between Vietnam and Laos.
