Cuban Official Visits HCMC to Boost Bio-technological Cooperation

Ho Chi Minh City will cooperate with Cuba to improve its bio-technology industry. 

Vice-Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan receives Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Aise Sotolongo to discuss further steps towards the establishment of a bio-technology center.

The vice-chairman briefs Mr. Aise Sotolongo about the city’s policies on technology development, saying that the city takes much interest in the promotion of information technology and biological technology fields, aiming at boosting its economic development.

Also, Mr. Nhan highly appreciates the achievements of Cuba in bio-technology and expresses his belief that the event would help promote further bilateral cooperation in the industry.

On the same day, Mr. Nhan received a delegation from California, led by US Congresswoman Barbara Lee, on their working visit to Viet Nam to look for cooperative opportunities in commerce, education and training sectors.
