Da Lat farmers prepare 1,500 hectares of flowers for Tet market

Famers have planted about 1,500 hectares of flowers to supply the market in the coming Tet holiday in Da Lat city, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.

Of these, daisy area approximates 544 hectares mainly in flower villages such as Thai Phien in Ward 12, Ha Dong in Ward 8, Van Thanh in Ward 5 and Xuan Thanh in Xuan Tho commune in the city.
In addition, there are 154 hectares of gladiolus flower, 75 hectares of lily, 120 hectares of Lisianthus, 35 hectares of boat orchid, 321 hectares of rose and 260 hectares of other flowers.
Residents in Da Lat’s neighboring districts including Duc Trong and Lac Duong have also cultivated hundreds of hectares of Tet flowers.
According to the Cultivation and Plant Protection Department in Lam Dong province, businesses have imported tens of millions of plants and flower varieties for local farming to serve the Tet holiday.
