Da Nang Police set up force 911 to suppress criminal activity

Police in the central city of Da Nang yesterday set up a special force 911 to prevent and suppress criminal activities and in minimize threats to national security in hotspots of crime and tourism areas where holidaymakers stay.

Force 911 is inclusive of three teams each having 12 police officers from criminal fight force, traffic force, drug prevention bureau and mobile police force.
According to plan, teams of force 911 will patrol and tighten control over security in streets especially in crime hotspots and areas with many resorts and restaurants.
Moreover, the special force will stop vehicle drivers to check whether they bring guns or dangerous items , those who breach traffic regulations.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of Police Station in Da Nang Major General Vu Xuan Vien said since there has been a rise in criminality and violation, Da Nang police planned to patrol in above-mentioned places for the city’s better security.
Accordingly, he expected teams of force 911 will work relentlessly to prevent crimes and violators for the peace of the city.
